The new Saguenay Tourist Bus takes you through the tourist spots and attractions of the city. Two non stop guided tours in the districts of
La Baie, Chicoutimi and Jonquière are offered from Wednesday to Sunday. So you can make your visit at your own pace!
Schedule : from june 25 to september 5 2010 (subject to change)
From Wednesday to Sunday, from 9h30 AM to 5h30 PM. Departures and arrivals at the tourist information office on Racine St.
(but users may start their tour from all the stops of both circuits)

In Saguenay - Lac-Saint-Jean, Notre-Dame, Kapatakan trail is our own version of the famous Spanish Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage.
The 215 km trail takes you from Notre-Dame-du-Saguenay in Rivière-Éternité to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes at the Ermitage Saint-Antoine in Lac-Bouchette,
a national Sanctuary. There are 12 sections along the way where you can experience spirituality, culture and nature. Winding its way through hills

Chicoutimi, a regional destiny is a brochure presenting 30 points of interest in downtown Chicoutimi where both the modern and ancient characters
of the district are highlighted. A fisrt circuit around the Bassin mkes one discover the historical origin of the neighbourhood, the city and the
rigion. The second circuit explores the architecture on Racine Street as well as its important role. Finally, a third circuit puts the emphasis
on the institutional aspect of chicoutimi as a regional capital by visiting the great institutions located around the cathedral and the old seminary.

Start of the circuit : Saint-Alexis church (Grande-Baie circuit), Saint-Édouard church (Port-Alfred circuit) and Saint-Alphonse church (Bagotville circuit).
Distance : About 10 kilometers for the whole visit.
Time needed : About two hours for each circuit.

Arvida, a model city in America

With the help of a booklet containing texts, photographs and a map, explore Arvida, a model city in America. From Place Davis to suptous Manoir
du Saguenay, the pedestrian circuit interprets 24 different items. They make possible the discovery of the patrimony, history and public art of
Sainte-Thérèse, the first-established district of this company town built in 1926 which distinguishes features of the Alcan Company across the world.
Start of the circuit : Carré Davis in the Arvida sector of Jonquière (the circuitous route brings you back to Carré Davis).
Distance : 4,5 kilomèters.
Time needed : About two hours walking

Jonquière and Kénogami, from pulp to paper

Jonquière and Kénogami, from pulp to paper opens the way, on foot or bicycle, to the discovery of two sectors of Saguenay. The brochure interprets
15 points or zones of interest in each one of these sectors. In Jonquière, the circuit links the Saint-Dominique commercial street to
Rivière-aux-Sables, a natural patrimony in the middle of downtown. In Kénogami, the second circuit covers the quarters for managerial staff
and for workers as well as the institutional and commercial zone of this company town erected in 1911.
Points of departure: Saint-Dominique Church (corner of Saint-Dominique and de la Fabrique Streets) for the Jonquière circuit, and Centre
d'histoire Sir-William-Price (1994 Price Street) for the Kénogami circuit.
