The Saguenay fjord

Classified among the 10 most extensive fjords in the world, stretching for more than 120 km and sheltering villages that bear the label of the most beautiful villages in Québec, the fjord is unquestionably an appealing, magnificent... mythical place. Witness of the last glaciations, with steep rocky walls reaching heights of up to 450 metres, the Saguenay fjord is unique in North America.

The monts Valin massif

Gigantic mountain range 30 kilometres from downtown, monts Valin are characterized by the exceptional depth of snow which covers them early in the season, from October to April. With their lakes, rivers and still wild forests, monts Valin represent a natural and complete change of scenery only a few steps away from city comfort.

Saguenay, the city

Regional metropolis, Saguenay numbers nearly 150 000 citizens and is the 7th city in importance in Québec. The area it covers is twice as large as Montréal Island. On the commercial side, it is the most important trade point in the province’s northeast with its wide array of boutiques and international brand names.
