A worthy symbol of solidarity and solidity, The Little White House remains one of our most popular tourist attractions among visitors. A theme park and a water fall is set there to remind us of the 1996 floods! Visit the house and discover its history before and after the terrible events. Don't miss visiting Place du Presbytère in the sector of Parc du Bassin to see the interesting exposition about the flood and the tragic landslide of Saint-Jean-Vianney in 1971.

Schedule :
Opening hours: everyday from the mid-June to September 6, from 8 am to 9 pm.
From September 6 to October 11, Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

Family oriented, this recreational tourist site is accented on everyday security notions. Miniature cars, collision simulations and incidences, ho the young react facing the unknown, activities on safety connected to electricity, a 30m observation tower, mini-putt, miniature car ride! Several innovations! A fun experience!

Schedule :
Summer 2010 : From June 28 to August 27 : 9h30 AM to 5h30 PM (please note that in case of rainy weather, the site could close earlier, please contact first the ticket booth for more information).

Winter schedule for the snowmobiling relay station : every day from noon to 9 :00 PM (without supervision). Ring of ice (skating), every day from 1 :00 PM to 4 :00 PM and from 6 :00 PM to 9 :00 PM (without supervision).

In the heart of down town. the old Port of Chicoutimi is the place to meet. Discover the remarkable works of our local artists, Desjardins gardens. Outdoor shows and animation, public market, bycicle riding, children games, picnic tables, pond, water basin and fountain, skateboard park, petanque park, restaurants, ice cream parlour and a terrace with a view on the saguenay river. Consult the calendar for shows.

Schedule : starting May till eptember every day. The public maarket and the Desjardins gardens June to September.

Shipshaw's Aluminium bridge

On du Pont road, near Shipshaw's power plant.
Representing our industrial heritage, this bridge was the first in the world to be made of aluminium alloy. Its weight corresponds to a third of a steel bridge of the same size. Inaugurated in 1950 by Maurice Duplessis, it was declared «civil engineering national historical site» in 2008

Discover the strange reflecting aluminium pyramid in the ha! Ha! Park! Conceptualized by the artist Jean-Jules Soucy, the monument was carried out by citizens to commemorate the flodds of 1996.

In summer as in winter, Rivière-Éternité invites you to its international exhibition of Christmas Mangers. A reflection of our culture, the collection is composed of unique pieces created by artists and craftsmen of Québec, as well as 55 other countries in the winter season. In the center of the village, admire the mangers perched on the mountain, and eleven other mangers exposed at the Parc Municipal des Artists all year. In the winter, feel the magic of Christmas with the 150 crèches that illuminate the entire village.

Pont Couvert Louis-Gravel

Construction A typical construction from the beginning of the century, this bridge gave access, in 1934, to the first village of "Bay Mill" and to the fishing club "Ste-Marguaret's Salmon Club". In spite of its 60 years of existence, its structure of spruce and cedar remains in very good state.

Built in 1929 by Laurent Bouchard, famous local builder of olden times, Anse-Saint-Jean's covered bridge is unique in Quebec with its low dry stone walls. Besides, it proudly illustrated the Canadian $1000 bill for as long as it circulated. This one hundred tons structure, overlooking magnificent rivière Saint-Jean sits harmoniously in most inspiring rural scenery.

Schedule :
Yearlong around the clock and access is free. The Halles are open daily from mid-June to October 11 from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Pont du Lac Ha ! Ha !

Ferland-et-Boilleau
Guardian of our cultural patrimony, Lac Ha! Ha! covered bridge was built in 1934 by Laurent Bouchard. 37.11 meters long and 6.43 meters wide, it overlooks untouched splendid scenery along old road 381. It is worth the detour for its palpable feeling of the past.

Visit the paper mill of Abitibi-Consolidated founded by Sir William Price in 1912, the largest in the world at its time and discover manufacturing process of paper. Something that wil amaze you! Find out about guided visits and the hours at Sir-William-Price History Center.

Industrial visit: Tuesday, Thursday at 1 PM (reservation obligatory).
Visit length: 1h15 minutes.
Maximum 6 people per group.
Kids under 12 not allowed.
Obligatory dress code: Long pants with fastened shoes.
